Kelsi Peters and Savanah Steffey (l-r) of Livingston were named to the Class 5A Academic All-State cheerleading team. The 2015-16 school year marked the first time that UIL officially recognized cheerleading as an approved activity. With this recognition came the opportunity for students to be acknowledged by the UIL for their superior efforts. This year, the Livingston High School Varsity Cheerleaders, are proud to announce Peters and Steffey were two of only 15 girls named to the team from across the state in Class 5A. To garner such an honor, the ladies have to be classified as a senior, be a member of the varsity squad, and have an overall GPA of 92 or higher.
