Lady Lions clip Panthers for road win

Livingston (14-11, 3-6) outscored the Lady Panthers three out four quarters to claim the narrow win.

Only two points separated the teams at the break, as Livingston held a 20-18 lead. Takira Taylor had the hot hand for the Lady Lions in the first half. Taylor connected three treys and one field goal to score 11 of her game-high 15 points.

The Lady Lions won both frames of the first half by the slimmest of margins, 6-5 in the first and 14-13 in the second. Both Taylor and Gillian Yannazzo scored six points in the second quarter. Yannazzo finished the game runner-up with 12 points.

The second half was a low scoring affair, as both teams combined for just 25 points. Livingston won the third frame 8-4 and the Panthers edged the Lions 8-5 in the fourth.

Rounding out the scorecard for the Lady Lions were Gracie Hawkins with three points, Destani Jackson, two points, and Ryan Richards, one free throw.
