The Goodrich Lady Hornets started 2-1 in their first three matches of pool play at the Woodville Holiday Classic.
In the first match on Monday, the Shelbyville Lady Dragons were nearly able to erase a 10-point halftime deficit with several fast break points in the second half. However, the Lady Hornets were back in sync during the last few minutes of the fourth period to maintain control of the game.

Lady Hornet senior guard Kristian James, was the game's leading scorer with 29 points.

In their second match later that evening, the Lady Hornets trailed the Colmesneil Lady Bulldogs 39-32 and dominated the fourth period to come back for the 53-46 win.

Despite the two convincing wins on Monday, Goodrich could not recover from the 30-14 first period deficit against the Silsbee Lady Tigers on Tuesday. Dakota Matthews of Silsbee was the game's leading scorer with 18 points, eight of which came during the first. Silsbee continued to outscore Goodrich until the fourth period and the game ended in a tough 76-53 loss.
