Bank to Bank

BANK TO BANK — Although no flooding was reported in Polk County as the result of the rainstorms on Monday and early Tuesday, the Trinity River Authority increased its discharge from the Lake Livingston Dam to 66,000 cubic feet per second. The result of the high volume of water coming through the dam's gates (above, center) is a much higher-than-normal level for the Trinity River. Those who live in flood-prone areas below the dam have been urged to make preparations in the event the Trinity River continues to rise. (Brenda Hambrick Photo)
